So, I'm trying to simplify my life. (ha ha)
I use two applications for thinking and writing: Obsidian and Scrivener (different kinds of thinking and writing for each; and I like using both.)
I'm thinking Napkin might be useful as a kind of outliner -- I put in a (concise, atomic) thought, you all do your magic linking stuff up in unexpected ways, or at least automatically so I don't have to manually link things, and then I can hopefully create outlines for articles and essays from that.
This is possible to do in Scrivener and Obsidian, just kind of unwieldy. So if Napkin does this kind of idea linking and outline generating much, much, and I mean exponentially better and easier than I can do in Scrivener or Obsidian, I can see myself using it a lot.
Just thinking out loud here.
Also, I'm not a developer, and I don't code, and I have no desire to do either -- well, if life were not short, it would be fun, but basically I just have time for writing. So I would love to be able to use something that is actually SIMPLE to use. For a non-coder. For someone who doesn't like endlessly tweaking apps. Just for what that's worth...
